….don’t worry about the squid.
Well, alrighty, then, let’s kick this shin-dig off the right way! KP is short for the Japanese term “Kinpatsu Oneesan,” written 金髪お姉さん in Japanese and translated in English as, more or less, “Blonde girl.”
I’ve been writing since I was pretty young, although most of my early stories didn’t exactly have words (just pictures), and usually involved wacky-looking stick figures (usually, of royal descent, aka “princesses”) and horses, and they were all variants of pretty much the same plot–somehow acquiring horses and riding off into the sunset.
Well, okay, okay, so not REALLY the end. Anyway, the idea for “Kinpatsu Oneesan” was conceived in 2012 when I was living and working abroad in Japan and decided to make an ill-attempted pitch at being discovered by a travel show (cough GLOBETREKKER cough). Naturally, I failed; however, I continue to use KP to write about travels, books, movies, relationships, art, fitness, dates-from-hell, or whatever else comes to mind. Unfortunately, I suffer from a terrible writer’s disease called inconsistency and sometimes will go awhile without submitting a post (sincerest apologies). I am currently living and working in Hawaii.
